5 theories and predictions on what could be there outside the Observable Universe.

The Observable Universe;
The Universe we know  

Have you ever imagined what could possibly be there outside the observable Universe ? Since Humans have shown interest in space there has always been a curiosity if the observable Universe is all it is or something more is out there. To know what could be possibly out there beyond our vision we first must understand what is the observable Universe ?

Now, the Observable Universe according to humans is the part of the Universe availaible to be seen to us. Let's make it a bit simple each and every star, planets and galaxies, everything visible today to us in space is the observable Universe. The Observable Universe is roughly 14 billion light years old, that is, the oldest light we receive from any star or source from space is about 14 billion light years away from us and this is the time we think the Universe was created ! 

So now as we know what is the observable Universe, let's jump out to 5 theories or predictions on what could be outside the observable Universe.

Unobservable could be same
As the observable.

• Same Thing

The part outside the observable Universe could be the same thing as it is in inside, that is stars, planets, galaxies, nebulas, etc with no end it. We can not see that part because light from that source has not yet had the time to travel to our planet. This theory though has no scientific proof for its support is the theory which is widely accepted among famous physicists and scientists. Scientists believe that this is the part that could hold planets like us which we cannot see at the moment. Some argue that all the alien civilisation could be right here and they are advanced enough to go and fro between the observable Universe and the other part. But there is one popular theory damping this theory that the Universe is not expanding rather it is revealing parts of it ! Frightening isn't it ?

A Black Hole could be the
Father of our Universe  

• Our Universe is within a Black Hole 

This theory is an interesting one. The Universe is conceptualised to be created 14 billion light years back, from an incredibaly dense and hot but very small point which we call Singularity. From singularity the Universe has constantly expanded to be the thing it is today. A Black Hole according to studies has a point after the Event Horizon, where matter reaches the point of Singularity. This similarity leads to the theory that our Universe can be within a Black Hole. If this theory is true then we could solve the problems of Dark Energy, what is the Universe actually expanding into, and many other questions of whose answer we don't have at the moment. This theory does also mean that every other Black Hole in the Universe could be a gateway to other Universes.

Beyond the observable Universe
there could be nothing but darkness !

• Nothing

Unless we get a major technological advancement, we have no way to know what is the Universe is expanding into ? But what if there is Nothing outside the observable Universe. The observable Universe is all the Universe it is and Maybe the Universe is expanding into nothing but empty voids. Scientists then are probably wasting their time looking for the thing which isn't there. All the theories being lack of substantial proofs, this theory is the most reallistic one until now.

Galactic clusters arranging
themselves in strange patterns due
to a phenomena called Dark Flow

• Dark Flow

The Universe was thought to be expanding uniformly, until the concept of Dark Flow came and scientists were forced to question the theory of the expansion of the Universe. It was observed that all the Galactic clusters moving in the speed of millions and millions of kms are arranging themselves on an specific area of space, as if something strong is pulling these clusters close to it. According to scientists nothing in the observable Universe adds up to become the force which is pulling the galaxy clusters, so its quite obvious that this force is beyond the Observable Universe. Whatever the force maybe it is from a powerful source, maybe from another Universe. Yep, scientists believe that such a powerful drift can only be caused by another Universe, which we would be talking about in the next point !

Our Universe could be one of
Many Universes.

• Multiverse

One of the most interesting theories of all that we are one of the many Universes floating around each other. This is quite similar to the first theory that the Universe is on an never ending expansion the difference being that the first theory runs on a definite one map but this theory suggests that our Universe eventually has an end point but only after we having the opportunity to enter another one. We have no vision beyond 14 billion light years and hence we have no way to see for other Universes even if we are certain that it is there ! But as I had wrote earlier that jumping in a Black Hole may lead us to one of these other Universes.

The Universe is expanding for sure, but what is it expanding into ? Why is it expanding ? Is the Universe curved or flat ? All these questions just seem unanswerable at the moment but maybe someday we would have some answers.
